Allure Media continues to be recognised as Australia’s most awarded tech publisher – winning five awards at the 13th Annual Australian IT Journalism Awards on Friday night.
The gala ceremony was held at Luna Park’s Crystal Ballroom and attended by almost 400 tech journalists, IT professionals and industry execs.
Allure gaming culture site KOTAKU won Best Gaming Coverage while editor Mark Serrels took home major honours: both Best Gaming Journalist and overall Best Journalist -- the ‘Gold Logie’ of Australian IT Journalism. LIFEHACKER took out Best Personal Technology Coverage for the third year running and editor Angus Kidman won Best Columnist for his series of opinion pieces post across LIFEHACKER, KOTAKU and GIZMODO.
Angus was also voted Highly Commended as Best Consumer Tech Journalist and GIZMODO acknowledged as Highly Commended overall Best Website.
Including BUSINESS INSIDER, Allure websites made up a quarter of all Best Website finalists in the awards recognising work produced in the year 2014.
Allure editorial staff achieved a record 33 finalist nominations in almost every award category.
