Creative Behaviour Rules:

  • A close button must be visible on the top right corner on the expanded panel.
  • The expanded panel can expand on roll over or click, however it must retract by the same method.
  • Autoplay video is allowed.
  • User-initiated audio by click only.
  • Play, stop, pause and mute button required in video.
  • Looping is not permitted.
  • Ad unit expands to the left on Business Insider and POPSUGAR.
  • Ad unit expands to the right on Gizmodo, Lifehacker and Kotaku.

Flash Guidelines:

  • All Flash ads should support the clickTag variable (use getURL codes provided below)
  • On any click, Flash ads should redirect to the URL specified in the clickTag argument; there should be no other redirection in between.
  • The ad must be optimised for minimal CPU usage — keep in mind there will be other flash creative on the page running at the same time.
